A Few Favorite Things …

Confessions … once I fall in love with something, I get completely manic about it.*

I talk about it, share it, and hope the whole human race will enjoy it just as much as I do.  So when I read about the good goings on over at Nesting Place … I was all in. I love sharing my favorites ~ and actually have a Favorite Things category where I share the stuff I love.  For today’s ‘favorite things’ linky party, I pulled a few things from my amazon favorites. Wouldn’t mind any of these showing up in my stocking!

Candles. I have lots of favorites. But this candle is so divine. And this candle is hard to find. I met this candle in Waco, Texas at Roots. Roots is a favorite thing. Emily loves Roots and I love Emily.

These pens are ridiculously wonderful. I LOVE them.  LOVE them. And I never use caps. That’s how much I love them. I have probably 5 different pen cups of Le Pen’s in my house. Yes, I have a pen cup addiction.

Lotion, lotion, lotion. Now, this is fancy hand cream. Non-greasy staying power that smell fabulous. Have been addicted to this for over a decade thanks to Karen Greiner. :)

In my kitchen … I like butter. Real butter. Soft butter. Sitting ready to spread on toast every morning. Thank you Le Creuset. And thank you, Kristi, for gifting me with it. {A gift idea: Crate & Barrel’s baby crock with Cinnamon Honey Butter.}

If I had to pick one to read again and again, this is it. She makes me brave. She makes me think. This is the one and only non-fiction book I have read over a half dozen times. If you want to be a writer, do not miss Anne Lamott.

While you’re reading Anne Lamott, drink this wicked delicious tea. It transpires. It’s gorgeous. “The finest quality full-leaf teas and herbs, all packed in a stunning silken tea sachet.” I get mine at Central Market. You can find it on Amazon.

I know it’s weird to talk about gum but gracious me oh my ~ until you try it you never know. Target has it and HEB carries but it can be difficult to find which sends me into near panic. Just make sure you have your own little pack of peppermint fantabulous with you when you see me because I’m not good at sharing this stuff. And I’m a horrific hoarder. (Just ask my daughters …)

Okay, I know this is obsessive to feature another candle but I warned you! And besides, this is unique. Jaime at the POO introduced me. I never would have picked up a pineapple candle. Ever. But this one is different. I have in my laundry room and it is the perfect kind-of clean smell for a laundry room.

Finally, the weirdest weird of all. Every year, my dad gifts us with the biggest tub of A+D known to man. * He can be a touch manic enthusiastic about the things he loves. * And he loves A+D.  He has taught us all (even the grandchildren) to love A+D. So the truth is when we see that big ole tub in the Ho-Ho bag, we’re sincerely thrilled by it. A+D is good to slather on your lips at night. To rub into your cuticles. To put on dry feet. It’s the My Big Fat Greek Wedding Windex of our family.
