answered prayers & perfected endings

Oh, hello friend.

I want to gently remind you that your story isn’t over yet. If you’re reading, you are breathing and that means you’re still in the middle of a story. Your story. God’s story.

I know sometimes it gets tiring praying the same things day after day and at times it feels like maybe God doesn’t hear your prayers. You feel weary looking at another week of waiting on something you hoped would have happened years ago.

He is the God of answered prayers and perfected endings. ~ Susie Davis

Yes, I hear you. But sweet friend, you’re still in the middle of your story. And God hears your prayers. And he sees your situation. I don’t know the ‘why’ behind the wait but I do know He is the God of answered prayers and perfected endings.

So now, we wait. Not begrudgingly, no. Much more like a group of friends clustered in the hospital lobby waiting on dear sister’s baby to arrive. With anticipation. And joy. In expectation of the good news.

God isn’t done with us yet. He’s still writing our story. And while we wait, we are strong for each other. And we take heart knowing God is good. Always good.

Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. ~ Psalm 27:14
