Happy Hour Austin: Sully’s Side Bar
If you haven’t had a chance to ‘meet the team’ yet … allow me introduce Roxanne. She’ll be sharing happy hour spots all over Austin.
I don’t know about you, but a happy hour with the girls at a new place always makes me feel a little fantastic. There is great energy around being the first to try new place. It is like a mini-girls trip in town or a Carrie, Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte moment, Austin-style.
{No website just yet. I got this photo from their FB page … you’ll want to like them!}
If you are overdue for a taste of new ~ good news! You are just in time to be the first to try Sully’s Side Bar. Opening today in the grand city of Austin, Sully’s is a new concept by the creators of Sullivan’s. Rather than a steakhouse, Sully’s has a more relaxed feel and a Mexican flavor. Located downtown next to Sullivan’s in the heart of the Warehouse district, Sully’s even has sliding glass doors for porch seating once the weather permits.
Sully’s features a burnt orange décor and two community tables in the center of the bar – perfect for a large group, or for co-mingling of groups.
The menu features smokey guacamole with smoked Gouda cheese (you know how I feel about guacamole), adobo-marinated brisket tacos with cilantro, salads and desserts. Are you salivating yet?
Although Sully’s features your traditional Mexican beverages I recommend trying a specialty drinks. My favorite is the El Corazon made with Pomegranate, Passion Fruit, Blood Orange, and Agavales Silver. It is served as a “Side Shot,” but I recommend sipping it—refreshing and tasty.
If you want to treat yourself, you must try:
Coconut Flan: Flan, roasted coconut flakes and caramel sauce. I don’t even like flan and I ate every last bite.
Here is the kicker! Sully’s menu ranges from $4 to $11. Affordable, tasty and new.
