Morning spent at the barn and mid-day discovering all kinds of thrifty goodness in my own neighborhood – that’s how a good Friday runs around here. Two weeks ago, I found these lovelies just around the corner at an estate sale. Forty-two plates for $20. Oh, yes please. I love thrifting.
Not just because I find all kinds of wonderful things for next to nothing and not just because thrifting teaches me the best kind of patience but also because I think of these unexpected thrift experiences as dates with God.
Time spent wandering, exploring and finding a treasure just him and me. Does that sound weird? Probably so.
But I’m kinda okay with that because he follows me everywhere anyway and the best kinds of days happen when I remember he’s always there beside me.
