Meet Your Host: Susie Davis
Hello! I’m Susie. I’m a native Texan, born and raised in Austin.
I adore small town Texas. I love the people, the charming landscape, the slower pace. When I was little, my dad used to take us on day trips to small towns all over Texas. We’d pile in the brown station wagon and drive a couple hours this way or that. We’d stop and shop for antiques in hay barns. We would drive down dusty roads to find big patches of bluebonnets. My daddy is the one who taught me to look for the diners with the pick-up trucks out front and the little bakeries with lines out the door. He taught me to smile and say hello to the people walking down the sidewalk on the Square. I’m so grateful for this legacy of love and appreciation of small town Texas.
