What is God Asking You to Do?

So yesterday, over at Swiss Miss, I saw this video.

The first time I watched it, I thought it was amusing. Laughed out loud.

The second time, completely compelling. I watched quietly.

And the third time, deeply convicting. Somewhat disturbed.

Because … what do we do if God asks us to face forward in the crowd?

Our sweet, tiny Madeleine died a few days ago. I’ve been a complete mess. Every time I turn around, I’m reminded of her. There she is cozied up on my favorite blanket, there she is sashaying down the hall. And then suddenly, she isn’t. Losing pets is a heartbreak. 💔

Asking for some happy music please because it’s cold and gray outside and the house is oh-so-quiet. Mads was quite the talker. Matter of fact, there are a number of podcast episodes when she interrupts with her frequent meows. Gosh I miss her. 🥹

Grateful to my @emilyanneboone who took these photos a couple years back. 🤍

What am I supposed to do with my life?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This week on the Dear Daughters Podcast, I tackle that big question with three little questions:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1. Why am I here?
2. Who will I be?
3. What will I do?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The unknown, though often frustrating, is not the enemy. It's a place to practice curiosity and contentment as you listen for God.

You are thoughtfully and specifically placed in certain roles in your life. And those roles revolve around relationship. By understanding your various roles, you can understand how to fulfill them. And in fulfilling your roles, you fulfill your purpose.

Chicken & Vegetable Soup 💛 All you need is rot Chicken & Vegetable Soup 💛

All you need is rotisserie chicken, sliced carrots, fresh peas, and a few white potatoes. Season the chicken in stock pot with extra-virgin olive oil and spices. Remove chicken then add the vegetables and lightly sauté with a little more EVOO + seasoning. Put the chicken back in the pot and add chicken stock. Let soup come to a quick boil and then cover and let it simmer for 20 minutes or so. Enjoy!

PS. This one’s for you two! 😘 @emilyanneboone @hilliaryec
