Savory Seven-Up Biscuits

Pinterest … I am kind of speechless. It inspires me, distracts me, and has me running to the grocery to get ingredients for Seven-Up biscuits.

I researched the recipe online – found lots of them – but worried that the biscuits would be too sweet. So I adapted to my liking and made them savory ~ and I couldn’t be happier. These biscuits were so easy and so delicious.

Mix together 2 c. Bisquick, 1/2 t. kosher salt, and 1-2 t. finely chopped herbs (I used sweet marjoram  & lemon thyme because they were in my little herb garden). Cut in 1/2 c. sour cream. Add 1/2 cup lemon lime soda ( I used Maine Root Lemon Lime soda) and combine well.

Melt 1/2 c. butter and pour into a 8×8 metal pan. Pour batter into pan and gently pat out to corners, using flour on fingers to keep from sticking.

Bake at 425 degrees for 12 minutes or until lightly browned.

From here on out, it just gets easier. Cut biscuits in the pan … then use a spatula from pan to plate.

And there you have it … my own little adaptation of this intensely popular recipe.

There is just so much you could do to change up this recipe. I’m thinking of lots of other herbs that would be really nice.

How would you like to adapt this delightful, easy biscuit recipe?
